The generous use of glass has been attributed to the lush green surroundings and how the clients asked for a design that offers gorgeous views of this natural terrain. The most interesting and appealing aspect of the home though is the stunning spiral staircase at the heart of the structure which just seems to enrich the look of the interiors several fold along with the dazzling chandeliers.
The most apparent aspect of the estate is the extensive and at times extravagant use of glass which gives the home not just a very transparent look but also helps it bring in the many sights and sounds of the rocky Mediterranean coastline that surround it. With the interiors and the furnishings strictly adhering to a cool white template the house depends on the beautiful natural cove area to give it its unique character and a dash of color and freshness.
This stylish and warm apartment conceived by Fertility Design creates a flowing work space that is integrated with the rest of the house visually and yet can provide solitude and silence when needed. The designers achieved this by using retractable glass walls that separate the home office area from the living space.
The theme is continued once you step in as well but the interiors are largely dominated by wonderful neutral backdrops colored in pristine white beautiful beige and brown. The thick brown wooden surfaces bring in a sense of contrast to the home while the décor which uses soft tones and unassuming shades goes along perfectly with the dark wooden colors. There is an ever-present tinge of green here and there while lovely golden yellow accents add freshness to the setting.
The 800 square meter residence is a chic amalgamation of the characteristic form of old manor houses of the Alentejo along with sleek and well defined lines of contemporary structures. The resultant creation is a gorgeous two level villa that largely employs soothing neutral shades is predominantly clad in white and employs graceful use of glass and stone.
